Read more about our 2023 FSAE-A Competitor, QEV-4, it’s specifications and competition results
Building on experiences and lessons learnt from previous vehicles, QEV-4 is QUT Motorsport’s most advanced vehicle to date. Mechanically, the car boasts a mode decoupled suspension, our lightest carbon fibre chassis to date, and a fully optimised advanced aerodynamics package. QEV-4 is the first 600V High Voltage vehicle that QUT Motorsport has produced, with these being mated to 2 German Fisher Motors with Sevcon inverters, boards and cooling jackets. Version 2 of our custom wireless telemetry system, on-board driving mode selection system through our steering wheel screen.
QEV-4 is the combination of 3 years of hard work begining with the team who built QEV-3 and over the years
The team was thrilled to see QEV-4 compete in Melbourne, Victoria for the 2023 FSAE-A Competition. With this, the team broke the 11-year drought of not competing in a dynamic event, during which QEV-4 participated in Skid Pad, Acceleration, and Endurance. The car completed 15 laps of the Endurance before encountering issues and stopping on track. With the knowledge and data collected at competition, the team now builds on these lessons into 2024.
